What are Badges?
Badges indicate a certain status you have achieved in the game. By performing a certain number of actions, you receive badges. This is determined with the number of points you accumulate in a category.  Combined with rank, badges allowed you to have access to bigger, better ships. You can receive badges in the following categories: Combat, Supply, Navigator, Engineer, Privateer, and Transport.

There are 3 levels of badges: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. The level at which you receive a bronze badge will differ within each category. See below for the current badge system.

What are Medals?
When you reach a certain combination of badges, you receive a medal. Medals serve no function other than to indicate this level of success.

Medal System
Sirius Combat	The Sirius Combat medal is awarded once you have achieved Bronze Combat, Bronze Bomber, and Bronze Transport status	No Picture Available
Star Medals	Star medals are awarded when you have all the badges of the same level (i.e. all bronze badges). Then, you are awarded the "Bronze Star" medal, if you have achieved all the bronze badges. The same thing goes for silver and gold levels.
Star Fury Medal	The Star Fury medal is awarded once you have achieved the Silver Bomber and Silver Transport status.
Defense Medal	The defense medal is awarded once you have achieved Gold Engineering and Silver Combat status.
Valor Medal	The Valor medal is awarded when you have achieved Gold Combat , Gold Bomber , Gold Transport , and Gold Privateer status.	Not Implemented
